Morgan McKinley is partnering with a global technology firm that is significantly investing in its presence across the APAC region and aims to expand its Sales team in Sydney. We are seeking an experienced Sales Director with a solid background in technology and extensive knowledge of the Australian IT industry.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a very successful business as they scale in Australia. You will be given the support and tools to significantly ramp up sales in Australia. Partnering with a range of corporate clients you will be responsible for selling solutions around: Cloud, Data and Network transformations, IT Modernisations, and Security enhancements.
Initially managing a team of 3 experienced sales professionals this role will provide opportunity to grow your team and footprint across Australia through your strong networking and business development skills.
Position Summary:
Lead an experienced sales team in Australia, driving new business and customer management. Develop and implement strategies for business growth in specific market segments, ensuring long-term success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage existing accounts, focusing on growth and profitability, while directing strategic initiatives for customer-specific services.
- Cultivate strong relationships with decision-makers, delivering professional presentations and maintaining expert knowledge of customer needs.
- Drive sales strategies, identifying new opportunities and accurately forecasting performance.
- Recruit, develop, and guide a high-performing team, setting goals and fostering accountability.
- Uphold company values, foster teamwork, and positive communication across the region.
Requirements:
- Significant experience in technology sales.
- Experienced people leader focused on developing a strong team culture to deliver to clients.
- Ability to develop customer relations to become a trusted advisor and execute sales strategies effectively.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Financial understanding, including Total Cost of Ownership model.
