Your new role
As the Sales Director, your role will encompass the key areas of:
- Market Appraisal of potential Autonomous Systems across ANZ including the impact of market trends, customer requirements and government policy on Underwater Vehicles and Systems
- New Business Development and winning profitable business opportunities.
- Develop Campaigns and capture plans for Autonomous Systems programs and opportunities.
- Build Business to Business relationships that lead to new business opportunities
- Relationship Management with senior Navy personnel and enhancing a network of appropriate customer and industry contacts.
- Sales Development to position the organisation to become the preferred tenderer for key naval autonomous system programs.
- With the support of the Capture Management team, you will lead the formulation of the capture strategy and preparing capture plans.
- Contribute to the executive summary of tender responses and preparations.
What you'll need to succeed
- You will have the sound ability to develop strategies in either business development or military domains.
- Significant sales and business development experience in the Defence Maritime industry, especially the Autonomous System domain.
- Demonstrated success in a similar role with experience gained over several years or having an extensive network of appropriate customer and industry contacts.
- Extensive knowledge of the Australian defence environment.
- Ability to successfully engage with senior defence and industry managers for long term beneficial business outcomes.
- Ability to effectively interact with executives and senior managers.
- Ideally, you will have knowledge of Defence systems and their operational applications, specifically Underwater Vehicles.
- Ideally, you will have experience with the management of leadership of small multidisciplinary teams.
