Sales Engineer

Kelair Pumps Australia, a member of the AxFlow Group, is a well-established, market leader in the pump and water industry. A major player in the sales, distribution and manufacturing of one of the widest ranges of pumping equipment in Australia. Our target markets include the industrial, mining, commercial and fire industries. We offer complete support to our extensive customer base through our offices located in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Launceston, Perth, Adelaide and Mackay.

A vacancy exists within our Mackay Office for an experienced Sales Engineer with a measured sales success and track record, to join our dynamic sales team.   

About the role

Join part of our busy team in Mackay reporting to the Branch Manager. This full time, permanent role requires a technically minded person with proven sales experience to promote our extensive product range.

Key duties include:

• Maintaining an existing customer base across a variety of industries
• Development of new clients and markets
• Providing specialized pumping solutions to meet the customer’s needs
• Technical and After Sales support
• Working closely with Internal Applications Engineers in the preparation of quotations
• Order negotiation and sales closure
• Reasonable travel within Central, Central West and North Queensland, Australia requiring overnight stays

About You

To succeed in this position requires suitable experience and credentials, with the ability to promote our extensive product range.

If you have a strong customer service focus, have excellent attention to detail and complete tasks to a high standard, this role is for you.

Your skills and experience would include:

• Technically minded with Engineering or Trade qualifications an advantage
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience with pumps and the pump industry is preferable. 
• Customer focus and an ability to provide excellent customer service
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to streamline internal communications
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office
• Highly motivated with the ability to plan, schedule and manage time efficiently
• Have the commitment to adhere to the companies Quality and WHSE policies and procedures
• Current Australian driver's licence
