Job Summary:
Join Foodmach as a Sales Engineer and play a key role in promoting and selling our state-of-the-art Packaging Automation Solutions. You will engage with new and existing clients primarily within the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry, as well as other manufacturing and distribution sectors. Your role involves understanding customer requirements, collaborating with our Application Engineering team to design tailored solutions, and managing the sales process from initial contact to closing the deal.
Location:
Two positions, one in Sydney, the other in Melbourne.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to achieve sales targets and expand Foodmach’s presence in our target industries.
- Create Key Account and Target Account Plans to support client development activities.
- Identify and qualify new leads through networking, industry research, and proactive outreach.
- Work closely with prospective clients to understand their Packaging Automation needs and propose customised solutions.
- Deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals that highlight Foodmach’s capabilities and value.
- Collaborate with our Application Engineering Team to develop detailed project specifications and quotes.
- Negotiate contracts and finalise sales deals promptly.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing clients and provide exceptional customer service to ensure satisfaction and retention.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field; additional business qualifications are a plus.
- Proven experience in technical sales, preferably within the packaging machinery or automation industry.
- Strong understanding of the consultative sales process.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence key stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex sales cycles and meet sales targets.
- Highly organised with excellent time management skills.
- Willingness to travel to meet clients and attend industry events.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
