About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Sales Estimator (Internal) to join our Queensland Team, based out of our current office in Loganholme, but soon to be Mansfield in mid-2024.
This position, reporting to the State Manager, involves preparing cost estimates through the analysis of proposals and requirements. It entails effectively communicating information regarding our products, services, and pricing. Ideally, candidates with exposure in the electrical industry or experience supporting sales with a Lighting Supplier/Wholesale industry are preferred. However, individuals without prior exposure to these industries but possessing a keen aptitude for acquiring technical information are also encouraged to apply.
Your key accountabilities will include:
- Preparing sales estimates based on project detail and opportunities received from customers.
- Responsibility for understanding project requirements and products so relative estimates can be drafted for customers.
- Liaising with internal departments including sales, technical services, and operations.
- Investigating and resolving issues promptly regarding quotations (product and price).
- Expanding your technical knowledge through in-house training
- Actively logging all customer interactions with the company’s CRM platform.
- Adhering to the company Customer Satisfaction Policy and Quality Management System (where ISO 9001 certified).
- Working closely with Business Development Managers in providing detailed project quote submissions.
About You
You pride yourself on your ability to learn technical product information quickly (training provided) and you’re a team player with a strong drive to support the success of your team and the wider business.
- 3+ years’ experience in or alongside estimating and quoting within the electrical industry or with a Lighting Supplier/Wholesale space (preferred)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Initiative and the ability to problem solve.
- The ability to work both autonomously and within a tight-knit team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office-based programs.
- Exceptional time management skills.
- Be Proactive and Show Initiative.
On-the-job training will be provided.
