About the Role
- Responsible to source, secure, and maximise total revenue for W Melbourne across the MICE and social segments, with a focus on converting group and catering business
- Reporting to the Director of Sales and Distribution, this role will focus on confirming MICE business and managing the social events in the venues and function space to ensure W Melbourne is the hotel market leader in Melbourne
- This role directly drives revenue and increases market share across the segments of rooms, B&F, and other revenue generating sources in line with W Hotels and Marriott International brand standards
- Represent the brand in all sales activities in line with W Hotels and Marriott International's corporate strategies with support from the DOS
- Represent W Melbourne and Marriott International at relevant functions and events
- Participate in trade shows, conventions, and promotional events both within the hotel and those organised by the industry
- Create MI Leads cross-selling leads program and ensure participation for self and sales team in regional networking opportunities
- Analyse the activities of competitor hotels, including their customer base, with the aim of developing and securing new business and providing a market advantage
