We are seeking to appoint an outstanding Sales Manager to join one of Australia's largest privately-owned building materials companies to build and lead our new product line.
Your overall responsibility is to optimise sales for all product lines within this category. This role will have a strong emphasis on identifying growth areas and cross-selling opportunities across the product range. The primary responsibilities of this position are Supplier Management, Category Pricing & Marketing, and Planning & Inventory Control within the residential and commercial building and construction market.
Some functions are:
- Determine and drive the category growth strategy with analytics and support the business with category insights
- Lead and drive the development of category plans in conjunction with key stakeholders
- Develop, implement and manage vendor performance metrics, documents and reporting as part of a Supplier Relationship Management Plan
- Determine the product range (Branded and Own Brand) for the category
- Creatively source for new ideas, new products and innovative ways to capture new business and promote profitable growth
- Determine optimum product price positioning
- Analyse product categories for profit enhancement opportunities
- Conduct market analysis to drive category strategies.
