About the role:
The Sales Manager will play a pivotal role within the business, leading agile and geographically dispersed teams. Reporting to the General Manager, the Sales Manager will be required to drive sales, growth and KPI's with an understanding of commercial levers and how to use them across different touch points of the business.
Looking after both the Customer Service team locally and a Sales Executive and Business Development Manager remotely, this role pushes a mix of over the phone sales and service as well as driving corporate tenders with Government & Schools to increase revenue year on year. This role will be split between the office (Western Sydney) and the store that houses the Customer Service team in inner South Western Sydney
The Customer Service will handle mostly inbound calls about purchases, technical help, guidance to customers, order generation, stock and supply, out of stocks and ETA's. This KPI driven department needs a leader with a sales driven mentality, can look outside of the box and create new ways to increase revenue, drive positive customer outcomes, influence the team and develop their skills.
The Sales Executive and Business Development Manager roles are to sell packages to Corporate, Schools and Government using leads, follow up and new business tactic to drive the largest part of the businesses sales.
About the person:
The ideal candidate will come from a sales driven background that has led teams achieving and exceeding sales and KPI targets. A solid understanding of commercial factors and how to influence a team to be on board with the needs of the business is a must along with an understanding of financials (GP, NP, sales metrics etc). Having led teams of up to 10 and experience managing remote team members is favourable. Other requirements:
* Leadership, training and development and KPI implementation
* Solid understanding of KPI's, sales conversion, converting quotes to sales
* Experience in a similar role is a must
* Ability to analyse performance, identify gaps or improvements and implement solutions
* Proven ability to motivate, inspire and be a hands-on individual
* Experience identifying and breaking into new industries or channels advantageous
