The Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate SaaS Sales Manager within our Australian and New Zealand operation to lead and build a team of salespeople to help generate subscription sales for our SaaS platforms. In the first instance we want you to get your hands dirty, leading sales by doing as you get to know our product suite.

In this role you will be responsible for driving the company’s growth strategy, identifying, and capitalising on new business opportunities, and building strong relationships with key stakeholders. You will have an excellent understanding of the entire sales process, an expert at lead generation, relationship building, and deal closing. You must have a proven successful track record of meeting, and exceeding, sales targets, as well as be someone who inspires the same performance in their team.

Ideally, you will be located along the East Coast of Australia and eligible to work on a full-time basis. We are potentially open to other locations in Australia if you live near a major airport, as there will be monthly travel involved with this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive business development strategies aligned with organisational goals.
  • Own recruitment, objective setting, coaching and performance monitoring of sales team.
  • Identify knowledge gaps within the sales team and develop plans for filling them.
  • Analyse market trends, competitor activities and customer need to identify new business opportunities.
  • Identify and evaluate new markets for expansion, conducting thorough market research and feasibility studies.
  • Negotiate business agreements and contracts, ensuring favourable terms for the organisation.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of proposals, presentations, and other business development materials.
  • Ensure all sales activities are correctly recorded in HubSpot.
  • Provide input to the Marketing team to help shape marketing strategy and execution, including contribution to marketing collateral, sales events and the handoff process.
  • Work closely with Customer Success teams to ensure new customers are handed over effectively including an appropriate level of knowledge transfer.

Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in SaaS sales, preferably enterprise software
  • Experience managing a team of at least 5 sales reps
  • Experience monitoring and reporting on monthly cash flows on individual team members
  • Experience with monthly reporting, goal setting, and ongoing career development
  • Experience working with digital marketing to achieve effective handoff to sales
  • Experience working in the digital community engagement space highly desirable
