About the Role
The Travel Corporation seeks an adept Sales Manager to collaborate with the Head of Trade Sales on a dynamic minimum 10-month fixed term, with an anticipated start date of June 3rd. This pivotal role revolves around maximizing sales potential within VIC by nurturing robust relationships with existing clients, enhancing brand awareness, and pinpointing new business prospects.
Our Sales Managers are tasked with effectively representing our brand to both the travel industry and the public, aiming for seamless execution of sales plans and attainment of passenger and revenue objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Devise and execute tailored sales and marketing strategies with key accounts to address their unique requirements.
- Foster existing relationships and drive growth with key accounts through consistent communication and valuable updates on productivity and progress.
- Offer comprehensive training opportunities for agents, ranging from weekly sessions to client presentations and ongoing e-commerce strategies.
- Ensure optimal utilization of marketing collateral and secure prominent placement for Insight Vacations within key account agencies.
- Proactively identify and capitalize on new business prospects.
- Evaluate the ROI of potential trade and consumer shows/events, actively participating in beneficial ones while seeking out new opportunities.
- Stay abreast of competitor activities and industry trends, providing insightful feedback to the management team.
- Maintain accurate and timely sales reports and records in CRM, leveraging data to enhance agent interactions.
- Actively pursue and manage group business opportunities, ensuring seamless coordination from inception to departure.
- Manage the Sales Manager Budget efficiently, adhering to established policies.
About You
- Knowledge of Trafalgar, Insight Vacations, Luxury Gold, Costsaver, and Contiki brands is highly regarded.
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Prior experience as a Sales Manager/Business Development Manager in the Travel/Tourism sector.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite.
- A collaborative team player.
Work Environment
- Predominantly field-based role, involving agency visits, travel industry events, and expos.
- Regular country travel with overnight stays.
- Occasional interstate and international travel.
- Availability for evening and weekend work during peak selling seasons.
- Flexibility to undertake administrative tasks either in-office or remotely.
