We are currently looking for a Sales Manager to join our team.
The role
With a focus on building strong customer relationships, you'll manage the wholesale sales process for our mature oysters, while also sourcing and selling third-party varieties to enhance our product range. Your keen eye for quality, along with our rigorous quality standards and your collaboration with our production team, will ensure our customers are delighted and you can be proud of the product you are selling.
In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales of our company-produced oysters as well as third-party oysters. It's a good mix of account management and business development, as well as quality control and logistics coordination. You'll cultivate and maintain relationships with customers, develop and implement sales strategies to fuel revenue growth. As a liaison between customers and our production team, you'll ensure seamless communication and customer satisfaction, while also staying ahead of industry trends to maintain our competitive advantage.
The person in this role will be based at our office in Cambridge in southern Tasmania, travelling as required for customers, events, and quality checks. It's a full-time, permanent role, reporting to the Sales & Marketing Manager.
About you
You don't need to already have knowledge of oysters, but you need to be able to get passionate about them (it's easy when they're this good!). We’re looking for someone who is excited about this opportunity, and driven to do well. It's important that you have:
- Drive to hit sales targets, and to come up with different strategies to drive growth.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills, and strong negotiation and customer relationship management skills.
- Ability to prioritise activities and meet deadlines, with expert coordination skills to guarantee efficient freight logistics.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards or product quality.
