About the role
This role will work closely with key senior leadership to develop and implement a sales strategy for Nexus Airlines. As the Sales Manager you will be responsible for the sales and promotion of the airline across all intrastate, interstate and international distribution channels.
Key duties and responsibilities of the role include:
- Develop and implement a Sales Strategy that sets clear objectives and includes robust market analysis, distribution channels, sales targets, KPI’s, and action plan.
- Responsible for preparing detailed sales reports to track and measure performance.
- Collaborate with the marketing team on promotional campaigns.
- Accountable for contract management, including with preferred partners and booking platforms.
- Manage booking systems, currently using Sabre and Takeflite, including troubleshooting.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, identifying new opportunities and exploring specific needs.
- Daily management of the sales team and driving performance to ensure targets are reached.
- Collaborate with Reservations and Operations teams to respond and resolve client complaints and provide feedback.
- Provide product training to all agents and staff as required.
- Represent the company at trade shows and other events.
To be successful in this role:
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably at a management or leadership level.
- Proven sales experience in the airline industry.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build and nurture professional relationships.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with a range of external stakeholders.
- Previous experience and strong knowledge of the Global Distribution System is essential.
- A strong knowledge of airline bookings systems.
