The Role

Centrally located in Charters Towers, Charters Towers Discount Car / Mahindra is looking for a Sales Manager to align with our Company Values and Guiding Principals. Someone who has a is person-centred approach and is capable of growing the Mahindra Brand while achieving successful results. You will be responsible for developing and executing strategies that deliver high returns for our people, our customers, manufacturer, and shareholders. 

As a strong advocate for our Mahindra, Used Car and Toyota brand, you will be known for delivering the ultimate customer experience, developing innovative ways of driving business, achieving KPIs and personally lead sales training and team development with high energy and charisma. You can foster a team of strong engagement and enthusiasm and you will be someone who can inspire a team, give and receive feedback, respect and value relationships & diversity, while remaining accountable and taking our business to the next level.

Charters Towers Toyota and Mahindra is situated only one hour and 15 min away from Townsville and was established in 1981, With over 25 employees across our dealership we pride ourselves in helping our large customer base and their needs. 

Charters Towers Toyota and Mahindra is a key contributor to the North Queensland economy, whilst providing sponsorship and support to many local sporting & community organisations. Our Dealership is experiencing exceptional growth, due to our strong market leadership and fantastic model line-up, that is recognised globally for its Quality, Reliability & Durability.

In this crucial frontline role, you will be responsible for assisting our guests with their vehicle purchasing decisions, upholding our Guest Centric Culture and creating, maintaining and nurturing long term relationships with our Dealership guests.

Key Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Maintaining a high level of Guest Experience
  • Becoming a Brand & Dealership Ambassador
  • Ability to establish, maintain and grow business relationships
  • Upholding Guest Centric Culture within the Dealership
  • Maintaining a high level of product knowledge and performing thorough demonstrations to our guests
  • Follow all Department Sales SOP’s & achievement of required Sales KPI’s
  • Follow Up of Sales Guests daily via phone
  • Managing inbound and outbound Guest enquiry
  • New Business Prospecting Activities

Our Ideal Candidate will possess the following qualities.

  • Minimum 2 Years’ Experience in a Customer Sales role, preferably within the Automotive Industry.
  • Manual Drivers Licence
  • Motivated self-starter who can work autonomously and within a team environment
  • Professional presentation and outlook
  • Excellent interpersonal skills & friendly disposition
  • Highly developed time management, problem solving & organisational skills
  • High Level Verbal & Written communication skills
  • Ability to build & maintain effective guest relationships
  • Strong computer literacy
