Become a key part Macquarie’s Asset Management business in a newly created Sales Proposal & Due Diligence Content Manager (Asia-Pacific) role for our public investments business. You will be a key member of the Sydney based Central Product Team, within our Business Management & Client Solutions Group, but also work closely with the Global RFP (“Request for Proposal”) team management headquartered in the United States, with teams also based in Europe and India.
You will be responsible for producing/completing sales proposal and due diligence questionnaires, developing and maintaining Australian and Asia-Pacific specific content, and working closely with the Global team on process, firm, and strategy content across Macquarie’s Investment Platform.
You will promote stakeholder engagement, and excellence in execution for RFP’s and Due Diligence Questionnaires ("DDQs"). Partner closely with Investment, Distribution, Client Services, Operational, Legal, and other subject matter stakeholders across the firm to update, write and maintain certain strategy and firm language in our repository database. As the Sales Proposal & Due Diligence Content Manager, you will look for opportunities to optimize the team’s use of technology and develop strong metrics for tracking progress and making improvements to drive better results.
Primary Responsibilities
Process:
- Own the RFP & DDQ Process from A-Z, and effectively find solutions to enhance quality
- Build processes and procedures and liaise closely with the Global team for maximum consistency and accuracy
- Champion our RFP process and adhere to timeframes to ensure deadlines are met
- Proactively communicate across stakeholders every step of the way
- Integrate relevant components into RocketDocs (repository system)
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the firm and be the team’s conduit for new information in the Asia-Pac Region
- Review RFPs/DDQs, provide guidance with respect to product positioning, capturing new information, etc.
Content:
- Build standard language into our RFP database (across firm and strategies relevant to Australian and Asia-Pac investment, operational and compliance capabilities)
- Design and implement content governance model to ensure that the team is leveraging the most up-to-date language
- Help with content development and positioning, where appropriate and effectively communicate content changes
Leveraging Technology:
- Ensure we are using technology (i.e., RocketDocs) to its fullest extent to maximize process efficiencies; identify gaps/opportunities for improvement
- Look at ways to optimize workflow across the global team’s deliverables to create maximum efficiency (e.g., develop standard materials)
- Utilize available analytics to own metrics, track volume, identify trends, capture success rates important to measuring progress
Key Requirements:
- Understanding and experience working in the asset management industry
- Strong entrepreneurial spirit to build the capability and process
- Understanding of investment strategies across asset classes
- Demonstrated experience of partnering with sales, client service and investment partners to devise solutions for the most complex client needs
- Strategic thinker and effective operator with a deep understanding of the RFP process and best practices
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to apply global savvy expertise and work in a dynamic group environment
- Analytical skills, and strong project management capabilities
