ROLE DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Inhouse Sales Representative to join our team in Sydney. The ideal candidate will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, maintaining client relationships, and achieving sales targets within the logistics and freight forwarding sector. This role requires a proactive approach, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of the logistics industry.
As an inhouse role, you will be working closely with the company director and general manager contacting businesses / prospective clients to schedule meetings for said director and general manger. This will be ideal for someone already in sales or a motivated freight forwarding operator looking to expand their skills in sales and business development.
KEY RESPONSIBILTIES:
- Be the first point of contact for new enquiries and leads.
- Identify prospects, set appointments, make effective qualifying sales calls, and manage sales cycle to close new business.
- To create and improve relationships between international partners. The goal of these partnerships is to increase the company's visibility globally.
- Actively build RIF Logistics AU networking pipeline.
- Ensure all new customers have a positive and smooth experience through their onboarding process.
- Maintain relationships with existing business focusing on retention for clients and suppliers.
- Identify and maximise all business through the submission of proposals and presentations.
- Represent the company’s services, using consumer research as well as deep and comprehensive knowledge of how our solutions meet the needs of customers.
- Main focus will be on the development of business from China to Australia, followed by UK to Australia routed cargo.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in the logistics, transportation, or supply chain industry.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Monitoring customers' changing needs and competitor activity.
- Willingness to travel if required.
- Self-motivated and results driven.
- Customer-focused with a professional demeanour.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
