Ignite Community Network is passionate about supporting people with a disability to increase their independence, capacities and opportunities to live a full and active life and we are looking for a Scheduling and Training Team Leader to join our team.
As the Scheduling and Training Team Leader you will oversee, the Scheduling team and provide the management, direction and strategy of the team with day-to-day tasks. This position will also be responsible for the management the organisation’s training database, ensuring that workers have completed specific training requirements set by the organisation.
Working as a Scheduling and Training Team Leader you will be responsible for the following functions:
• Lead the scheduling function for Ignite Community Network.
• Identify targets and evaluate Scheduling and program performance.
• Manage Disability Support Worker availability.
• Management of the organisation’s information management system.
• Participate in Disability Support Worker induction.
• Oversee the recruitment of Disability Support Worker team.
• Management of organisational training databases.
• Management of specific training needs of individuals connected with Ignite.
• Provide monthly reports to the Chief Executive Officer.
• Participate in the on-call/ after-hours roster. Weekdays 5pm to 9am, weekends 5pm to 5pm)
To be suitable for this role, we are looking for someone who is passionate about working with people with a disability and has an analytical approach to their work. In order to be suitable for the position you must meet the following criteria:
Essential:
1. Experience in scheduling in the disability sector.
2. Experience in supervision and performance management processes.
3. Ability to manage complex workloads.
4. Experience with the NDIS.
5. Experience in managing training programs.
6. Highly developed written and verbal communication and negotiation skills.
7. High level of computer proficiency in MS Office suite.
8. Participant in the on-call/after-hours roster (on average 3 times per fortnight)
Desirable:
1. Tertiary qualification (diploma, advanced diploma or undergraduate degree in human services or a scheduling related industry).
2. Experience using Datanova Flow Logic software.
