We are looking for a talented individual to join our Finance team as a Scheduling Optimization Officer. In this role you will play a pivotal role in maximizing efficiency, controlling costs, and ensuring the smooth operation of our scheduling processes.  If you thrive in a dynamic environment where your analytical prowess and strategic thinking are valued, this opportunity is for you!

What you will do:

  • Develop and implement innovative strategies to optimize scheduling processes, ensuring the efficient allocation of resources while meeting client needs and organizational goals.
  • Analyse scheduling data and trends to uncover opportunities for improvement and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align scheduling practices with commercial objectives and financial targets.
  • Analyse financial data and forecasts to inform staffing levels, resource utilization and service demand.
  • Identify opportunities for cost containment and revenue generation within scheduling operations.
  • Project resource availability and staffing requirements based on staff schedules, resignations, leave requests and growth.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, employment awards, contractual obligations, and organizational policies within scheduling operations.
  • Monitor key metrics, comparing actual performance against projections and adjusting scheduling plans as needed to optimize resource utilization.
  • Lead initiatives to strengthen scheduling processes, enhance operational efficiency and improve the quality of service delivered.

What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance or related field
  • Proven experience in scheduling, operations, or related field with a focus on commercial viability and financial sustainability.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a knack for collaboration across diverse stakeholders.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office 365, rostering and scheduling software and customer management systems.
  • Knowledge of aged care services and/or the not-for-profit sector is advantageous.
  • Exceptional problem solving, negotiation and conflict resolutions skills.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • National Police Check required.

  4. Final Interview / Job Offer Discussion, including details of compensation and benefits.
