The Harding Miller Education Foundation (HMEF) is an Australian charity providing academic scholarships to high-potential girls in Australian government high schools who are experiencing hardship or disadvantage. Established in 2016, we currently support 695 students in 320 schools across Australia and we are growing.
About the Role
The Scholarship Program Coordinator will be responsible for continuing to manage and grow our careers and educational enrichment program to ensure our scholars are provided with a wide range of opportunities that expose them to different careers and help develop their career-building skills. You will also assist heavily with our annual (and upcoming) Awards Events in Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane.
We are looking for a highly organised and hands-on team player who relates well to teenagers and can identify and secure new enrichment opportunities and develop ongoing relationships with our enrichment partners.
In this full-time role, you will:
- Manage and grow HMEF’s national enrichment program – including excursions, online presentations and training and university experiences - for our scholars and ensure that every student has multiple opportunities to participate each year.
- Promote and invite scholars and alumnae to relevant enrichment opportunities and coordinate RSVPs, parental consents, and travel arrangements for participating students.
- Attend enrichment activities and maintain accurate attendance and feedback records.
- Research and promote externally provided programs and activities and encourage our scholars to attend.
- Contribute accurate data and insights to our quarterly board reports and annual reports concerning scholar engagement and enrichment program trends.
- Assist with our annual awards events including sourcing key-note speakers, MCs and appropriate resources and activities for scholars to engage in.
- Assist with post-event media communications and photography requirements.
- Maintain a library of photos of scholarship recipients for internal and external use.
- Be the primary media coordination point for scholarship recipients and volunteers.
- Manage and monitor scholar feedback surveys for events and as part of the Foundation’s annual survey process.
- Provide support with communications and scholar-related projects as required.
- Assist with managing volunteer, donor and alumni events as required.
To perform this role, you will have proven experience coordinating the administrative aspects of an events and enrichment calendar including - managing registrations, managing participant communication and attendee evaluation as well as CRM/Database management.
The successful applicant will be required to apply for and receive a Working With Children's Check and a National Police Check. A driver's licence is strongly preferred.

- Word processing and Microsoft Office – Word, Excel & PowerPoint
- CRM (Microsoft Dynamics) software knowledge or the capacity to quickly learn
- Online forms and marketing tools including Award Force, Canva, Google Forms and Mail Chimp or the capacity to quickly learn.
