About the Team and the Role
The team you will join is welcoming and knowledgeable and ready to collaborate to continually improve our systems and processes.
Reporting to the Team Leader Library Experience, your day to day will involve developing and implementing a framework for Library community outreach and Engagement. You will also lead an assessment of our current suite of adult programming, and mapping what our future delivery looks like.
At times you will be the liaison point with external providers of programmes and events.
Community connection and inclusion will be at the heart of what you do. At the moment, this includes oversight of home library services, adult literacy and library outreach, but you will also have the opportunity to grow and adapt our service so we are connecting with more members of the Mosman community in new ways.
You will also play a role in supporting implementation of Library projects and new initiatives.
About You
To be successful in this role you will hold tertiary qualifications in librarianship or community development, or other qualifications with relevant work experience.
You will be skilled at connecting with people, both as a leader of a small team, but also with community members and
other teams within Council. As well as experience in leading delivery of adult programming, you will have skills in public engagement and delivery of small projects or initiatives.
In addition to the above you will have a vision for how library services can be delivered in non-traditional ways out
into the community. You may have experience with methodologies such as asset based community development.
In addition to the above you will hold a valid C class drivers licence and a valid Working with Children Check.
