About YOU! You have…
- Experience supporting learners in an educational setting.
- Proven experience in building productive working relationships with students, families, and other team members.
- Cert III or Cert IV in School Based Education Support (or equivalent)
- An understanding of the workings of a multidisciplinary team (teachers and allied health professionals), preferably in the area of students with disability.
- Experienced in working with prep and/or primary aged children.
About the Role
Language Disorder Australia is looking to expand their Relief Pool.
Our School Assistants are vital members of the school and support the appropriate education/developmental outcomes for children/students identified with primary language and related disorders.
School Assistants work closely with Teachers and Allied Health staff within our classrooms to support the smooth implementation of specialist teaching and learning programs. They also assist with the preparation and enhancement of learning materials and general care of our students.
About Mancel College
Mancel College is a specialist Prep to Year 12 school for students with Language Disorder. Our students come from far and wide, with many of our families becoming part of the local community or commuting from the wider Brisbane area. The College is operated by Language Disorder Australia.
Our expert team of teachers, therapists and support staff at Mancel College ensures that our students fulfil their learning and communication potential while overcoming barriers, allowing them to become confident, independent people, achieving extraordinary outcomes.
