We are seeking a temporary Administration Assistant for a 5-month Contract position in the Music Department. This contract is a full time, term time position.

About the Position:
The primary role of the Administration Assistant – Music is to provide a range of administrative support to the Director of Music Performance and the Music Department.
- Providing administration and reception services for the Director of Music Performance and the Music Department.
- Administrative duties associated with the Curriculum program, Extra-Curricular Program and the Instrumental Music Specialists.
- Timetabling and associated administration of lessons.
- Administrative duties associated with excursions, incursions, tours, camps, concerts and performances.
- Liaising with other departments and external suppliers for music events and supplies.
- Communicating with staff, students, parents and visitors in a professional and timely manner both physically and electronically.
- Monitoring the music inbox and disseminating information.
- Maintaining records for purchase ordering and invoicing.
- Liaise with Music Support Group for newsletter articles, function forms, equipment for performances, advertising of performances, etc.
- Compliance with Business Office processes and Financial Policies.
About You:
Our successful candidate will have:
- An understanding and commitment to the Christian values and ethos of the School and PMSA.
- Highly developed computer skills with experience in and intermediate proficiency in MS Office Programs e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
- Experience and proficiency in the TASS School database (or similar)
- Experience in mail merging between databases and software programs.
- Development and maintenance of spread sheets including working with formulas.
- Expertise in filing and referencing of electronic units of work stored in on-line databases.
- Ability to multitask whilst maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Highly developed oral, interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to work as an effective team member.
- Pro-active self-starter with the ability to exercise appropriate judgement, confidentiality and initiative.
