Position Available
The School Counsellor is a member of the Wellbeing team and works to provide counselling support, referral services and guidance for students and their families. The School Counsellor works to develop programs, identify students at risk, organise initiatives and engage with external stakeholders to enhance the wellbeing of students.
St Euphemia College is currently seeking a School Counsellor to join our College. They will have a key role in all aspects of pastoral care and student wellbeing at the College for students from Kindergarten to Year 12.
This is a full time, permanent position to commence Monday 6 May 2024, however the start date may be negotiable for the right candidate.
The role:
Applications are invited from outstanding registered Psychologists, Counsellors, Social Workers or related qualification, motivated by meaningful connection, who are eager to join a collaborative, and inclusive team providing evidence-based brief intervention to students.
- Support the implementation of proactive and preventative wellbeing initiatives in line with changing needs of students and broader contemporary issues facing children and adolescents today.
- Manage a case load across Kindergarten to Year 12, promoting social, emotional, and educational development.
- Plan, negotiate and provide counselling services based on social/emotional/behavioural needs of the students.
- Liaise with parents, teachers, or other external health providers as needed as part of the counselling process.
