Details: Kingsford Smith School is seeking a dynamic and highly motivated SLC to work across the Preschool and Primary School. The SLC will be a pedagogical leader with expertise and experience in leading professional learning teams to interrogate data to enhance practice in literacy and numeracy teaching. This role will also involve leading the Preschool team with a potential teaching load in this space. The successful applicant will possess the knowledge and skills to lead the Preschool through the Quality Improvement Process.
The SLC will:
- Lead the Preschool teaching team.
- Support the executive team to implement the School Plan
- Undertake a teaching load as determined by the principal.
- Lead the staff to use multiple sources of data to inform pedagogy and strengthen professional learning communities.
Eligibility/ Other Requirements: Prior to commencing in this role a minimum of four years full time (or equivalent) tertiary study leading to the award of a recognized school teaching qualification; a current full teaching registration with the ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) (or eligibility for teacher registration with the ACT TQI) and a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required.
