About the role - St Martin's Primary School is looking to employ a Learning Assistant (School Officer) to work with students in Years 2 and 4 with diverse learning needs.
Duties include:
- General classroom support
- Preparation of resources and clearing learning materials
- Using technology to support learning activities
- Administrative duties such as photocopying and filing
- Self-motivated person who works collaboratively
- Proven communication and interpersonal skills
- An understanding of the workings of a classroom
- A willingness to work as part of a team
- Demonstrate an ability and initiative to apply your skills in supporting students to achieve successful learning outcomes.
- Ideally you will have previous experience as a Learning Assistant and/or hold a minimum Cert 3 in Educational Support or be studying towards it.
To be eligible to be considered for this role you will:
- hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement;
- be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment; and
- have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education.
