About the role - We are seeking an engaging and effective School Officer - Visual Arts and Technologies Assistant to join Mary MacKillop College in 2024. The successful applicant will be experienced in a similar role in a school or educational setting. This is Term Time, Level 3 School Officer Position working 26 hours per week.
The role holder will the support Visual Arts and our Technologies Department, reporting to the Head of Faculty - Technologies. Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Order, purchase and prepare materials for demonstrations and classroom lessons
- Organise and maintain supplies and equipment
- Provide some administrative assistance to the Head of Faculty
- Assist with setting up displays in the art gallery
- Set up practical activities for students and classes
- General preparation and tidying for the Technology Faculty
About you - The successful applicant will:
- Support the Catholic ethos of the school.
- Have a keen attention to detail.
- Demonstrate a proactive approach to supporting our teams (Visual Arts and Technology).
- Provide friendly, efficient service to all stakeholders across the two departments.
- Work diligently and quickly to support the relevant teams.
- Be able to work in a fast-past, school environment.
- Possess and maintain a positive notice for Working with Children and Young people (Blue Card).
- Liaise with the WHS when required.
