Firefly Education is a thriving educational publishing company producing high quality print and digital materials for Australian classrooms.
This position requires you to support schools who are using our innovative and highly regarded Maths, Spelling, Handwriting and English series and maintain the smooth.
We require someone with a background in customer service or office administration to become part of our dynamic School Support team. Based at our Buderim Head Office this assistant position will work hand-in-hand with our front of house staff and our team of Education Consultants based across the county.
The ideal candidate will be a confident communicator, able to handle a fast paced office and keen to support the needs of our schools and our remote team of consultants. A high level of computer literacy and great phone manner is essential, and a passion for education will be well regarded.
The role would require you to:
- provide phone support to customers about Firefly products and any customer support queries
- support the team of education consultants in the execution of our state sales strategies
- facilitate the set-up of schools with our digital resources through School Licences
- coordinate face-to-face professional development for education consultants, including assisting with travel plans, recording relevant information in an online database and distribute training certificates
- improve and update professional development materials
- provide administrative support in meetings such as booking rooms, providing updates and taking minutes
- Collate and print materials, including making up promotional packs
- complete admin duties such as filing, photocopying and scanning
- take care of office duties such as end of day lock up, room setup for meetings, watering plants, organising catering etc
- run errands between head office and the warehouse, post office, grocery store etc
The ideal candidate will have:
- a willingness to roll their sleeves up and get things done
- the ability to think on their feet and problem-solve over the phone
- proven success in prioritising and time management
- a love for spreadsheets and pulling reports
- a desire to work in a team
- A drivers licence and car
Sales or teaching experience would be beneficial but not essential.

This is a part-time (Monday – Thursday afternoons) maternity leave contract position for an initial period of 12 months. Starting first week of April.
