School Support Officer - Classroom - 36 Hours Per Fortnight

Three temporary part time positions commencing 29 April 2024 until 5 July 2024.This position exists to support the delivery of quality learning and teaching. This classroom-based position requires you to work collaboratively with teachers, providing assistance in all areas of student learning and management.ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIAThe preferred applicant demonstrates the following criteria:

• A commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.
• Ability to support children's individual learning in the classroom.
• Understanding of and ability to work with students with diverse needs.
• Ability to interact positively with students.
• Technical competence in appropriate technologies.

DESIRABLE SELECTION CRITERIA

• Previous experience in similar settings.
• Experience with the PB4L framework.

The following GENERAL CAPABILITIES are applicable to the role:

• Well developed written and oral communication skills.
• Well-developed interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
