In this role, you'll:
Reporting to the Pavements and Geotechnical manager, you will assist in field investigations, analyses, interpretations, and advice for geotechnical, pavements and materials aspects related to infrastructure design, construction and maintenance.
In order to support the development and delivery of infrastructure projects, you will provide assistance to pavements and geotechnical team in providing technical support and advice to various internal/external partners (development, design and delivery) encompassing the whole project lifecycle.
You will manage geotechnical and pavement risk for TfNSW, as well as, pavement and geotechnical investigations, the preparation of factual reports, scheduling of lab testing and pavement designs and material assessment.

About you
Have a Certificate IV in a relevant technical area or demonstrated equivalent knowledge and verified relevant industry experience in geotechnical, pavement or related discipline.
You will have specialist experience and knowledge of materials, delivering geotechnical, bridge or pavements investigations, sampling trials, laboratory or field testing and surveillance to clients.
Possess strong observational and analytical skills, capable assisting geotechnical investigations in diverse terrain and weather conditions, and work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
You will have effective communication skills, have a strong attention to detail and able to manage multiple cross-functional priorities with conflicting deadlines. Proficient multitasking, organisational, teamwork and planning skills are crucial.
Possess a current and valid Australian motor vehicle driver’s license and willingness to work outside regular working hours and travel on occasion.
