We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Screen Printer to join our busy print team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating our screen printing machine to produce high-quality prints on various materials. This role requires proficiency in setting up and adjusting machines, selecting appropriate inks and screens, and monitoring print quality throughout the production process. Attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently to meet deadlines are essential.
The Position will be located in our printing factory in Dingley.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and calibrate the screen printing machine according to job specifications
- Prepare screens, inks, and other materials for printing
- Load materials onto the machine and adjust settings as necessary
- Monitor print quality and make adjustments to ensure consistency and accuracy
- Troubleshoot issues with equipment or prints as they arise
- Clean and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Screen Printer or in a similar role
- Proficiency in operating screen printing machines and related equipment
- Knowledge of different types of inks, screens, and substrates
- Ability to read and interpret job orders and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and quality control skills
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills
