Security Infrastructure Systems Administrator (VIC, QLD, & ACT)

Experienced Systems Administrator required for maintenance and integration of ICT infrastructure and security systems across the full lifecycle of the product owner's systems.
The Specified Person will be expected to demonstrate attributes of SFIA Level of Responsibility 3.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of a complex ICT environment containing both Windows and Linux based systems.
• Contribute to the provisioning, support and maintenance of Storage Area Network (SAN) appliance, physical and virtual server infrastructure and a small fleet of desktops.
• Ensure the reliability of the system by using standard procedures and tools to carry out defined system configuration, backups, and restoring data where necessary. This includes the use of network management tools to collect and report on network load and performance statistics.
• Ensure incidents, problems and changes are captured and responded to within the IT service management platform. This includes administration of accounts and permissions.
• Identify operational problems and contribute to their resolution, checking that they are managed in accordance with agreed standards and procedures.
• Assist in documenting existing and new features and processes related to system support and enhancement.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE NEEDED

• Experience in administering a secure and reliable Linux and/or Windows ICT environment is essential.
• Australian Citizenship and a TSPV security clearance is essential.
• Data processing, scripting and coding skills, specifically in Bash, XSLT, PowerShell, Python or C (Desirable).
• Experience in administering virtual machine systems, particularly Red Hat (Desirable).
