Role Overview:

Under the supervision of the Group Account Director, the Senior Account Director is responsible for client satisfaction and creative achievement of their group.

The Senior Account Director directly contributes to the strategic and creative output of their accounts, and to the development and growth of their team. They are responsible for inspiring those around them and demonstrating unwavering commitment to creative excellence.

Client:

Managing the overall client relationship. Responsible for creating and maintaining an effective partnership with the client(s) on a day-to-day basis.

Understanding the client's business to the n'th degree. Can interact independently with senior clients. Develop a truster advisor position.

Guiding the strategic direction of the client's business and brands.

Supporting the development of great creative work at every stage. Ensures approval of brief prior to jobs going into creative department. Can evaluate creative and judge whether it accomplishes the stated goals. Knows good advertising from bad. Is able to persuade others and sell ideas.

Gaining trust: Is someone that the client counts on and can turn to, and whose opinion is valued by the client.

Actively seeks opportunities to grow existing business. Mines for opportunities for new business.

Commitment to creative growth. Taking a committed approach to creating game changing, world changing and award-winning creative work.

Agency:

Ensures the timely development and execution of plans, campaigns and projects. Ensures that work is produced in a way that ensures adherence to agreed budgets.

Supports Group Account Director to ensure earnings, growth and profit goals are achieved.

Is an inspirational coach and leader for the group. Supports his or her team in executing the work. Operates in a way that sets a clear and positive example for other members of the team.

Does everything necessary to support great creative work, from developing clear and concise strategies to overseeing the best possible execution of the ideas. Earns the trust and respect of creatives. Provides honest, constructive, and timely feedback in a positive way that helps build on the work.

Qualifications

Skills and Experience:

Tenure. Must have experience operating at Senior Account Director level, either in a Brand or Advertising agency. Experience working with B2B clients would be advantageous.

Strong leadership skills. Can inspire people at all levels to achieve peak performance. Works well with all other departments. Knows when to push, and when to pull back.

Excellent communication skills. Must be able to accurately communicate information to and from the client. Must be a good listener. A strong presenter. Able to handle delicate issues with the client.

Has very strong creative evaluation skills. Is able to judge when creative is on strategy or not and is able to work with the creatives to strengthen ideas.

Strong strategic abilities. Can independently articulate a clear and actionable strategy that meets objectives. Can help others improve their strategic thinking.
