Marsh is seeking for an experienced motivated Senior Account Executive to join our Corporate Team in the Brisbane Office.

As Senior Account Executive you will implement Client First Principles across a portfolio of medium to large accounts within our Corporate practice, ensuring high quality customer service is always provided and set revenue and expense budgets are consistently attained. In addition to the end-to-end management for a set portfolio of clients, you will provide support to the Principal and/or Managing Principal.

We will count on you to:

  • Bring your best thinking, first class service delivery and technical ability to your clients
  • Consistently achieve agreed service standards.
  • Foster effective long-term relationships with key client decision makers and frequently monitor political, management and other changes to preserve and protect these relationships.
  • Take a proactive approach to all aspects of account management and service delivery to clients ensuring client needs are identified and met.
  • Implement successful account retention and defence strategies.
  • Have good insurance market knowledge and ability to negotiate best results from underwriters across all general classes of insurance.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of all major classes of insurance which the Company offers to its clients and keep abreast of all new technical and product developments.
  • Maintain an awareness of all large and potentially complicated claim related matters and assist claims colleagues in the negotiation of equitable claim settlements on behalf of clients.
  • Possess a thorough working knowledge of all aspects of the Insurance (Agents & Brokers) Act, Insurance Contracts Act, Fire Services Levy, Stamp Duties and other relevant legislation and keep abreast of all new developments.

What you need to have:

  • Experience in a broking or underwriting role, likely 3-5 years in the insurance industry and looking for the next step in your career.
  • Client Service - excellent delivery of technical, administrative and consulting support to internal and external clients.
  • Change - awareness of environmental, financial, regulatory and social factors affecting company and clients' operations and business and knowledge of internal company technological and product capabilities.
  • Commercial Acumen - an in-depth understanding of factors impacting on the delivery of services by the Company.
  • Planning and Organization - development and implementation of courses of action for self and others to ensure that work is completed efficiently and on time.
  • Drive & Self-Motivation - demonstrates a willingness to take on increased responsibilities and displays the ability to act independently.
