PR and communications Senior Account / Account Manager
What your typical day will look like?
We are looking for a public relations and communications Account Manager / Senior Account Manager to work across our property, architecture, design and arts portfolio. As the SAM/AM, there is very little happening on your clients’ accounts that you are not aware of or involved in which means you’ll need to be able to jump seamlessly from public relations and strategic communications planning to project management, reporting, optimisation and quality control.
As the main day-to-day contact for your clients, it’s important to build relationships of trust so that you can thrive in a fast-paced environment that requires experience working with the media to achieve widespread press coverage and results for clients.
Key responsibilities include:
? Development and implementation of creative communications strategies spanning media, content, social media, event ideation, partnerships and collaborations
? Oversight of social media accounts for clients across a mix of channels, including paid campaigns
? Staying up to date with key trends, news and communications technology relevant to your clients
? Proactively identifying and creating editorial opportunities for clients including ideation, drafting media releases, media pitching, management of media interviews and briefings
? Briefing work into other team members where applicable and management of production and delivery
? Ensuring a high standard of work is delivered and client objectives are met
A bit about you:
? 4+ years’ experience in PR, external communications or journalism
? Strong understanding of the media landscape within Australia
? Confident pitching to media with experience in media relations; achieving editorial
coverage is essential
? Excellent organisation skills and experience delivering integrated campaigns across
editorial, social media and events
? Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with an ability to engage with your
audience
? Ideally, you have an interest in property, architecture, and the arts
