We are working with a leading Brokerage located in the inner west to recruit a Senior Account Manager / Team Leader to manage their mid-market programs valuing $50k to $500k. The Senior Account Manager will take on existing relationships currently managed by either the director or other senior brokers within the business, as well as work on new opportunities. The Senior Account Manager will have strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
The role would suit an experienced Senior Account Executive who enjoys the new business side of the role and getting out to see clients.
About the role:
- Manage the existing portfolio of accounts, focused on converting new business opportunities in the team
- Working closely with the team on the more complex accounts in the department
- Assisting with coaching and mentoring junior colleagues
- Ensuring you have a thorough understanding of your client’s business so you can identify areas of risk and provide insurance solutions
- Working with internal departments and stakeholders to ensure cross-sell opportunities are maximised
About you:
- Tier 1 qualified with experience managing a portfolio of SME and mid- market accounts
- Sound technical knowledge of commercial insurance policies
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Confident in a marketing facing, development role
- Prior track record of achieving growth and retention targets
- New business experience and flare
- Strong negotiation skills
- Experience in managing others
