Manager or Senior Accountant- Launceston, Burnie, Smithton & Devonport

We are seeking a dedicated Manager to join the Business Advisory team in either our Burnie, Smithton or Devonport offices. We are also open to applicants at the Senior Accountant level.
This role is responsible for ensuring that all aspects of clients' engagement are running smoothly with a strong focus on client delivery and people mentoring.
What will your typical week look like?
You will be assigned a portfolio of clients and will be responsible for the development and mentoring of a team of accountants and graduates, with the goal of delivering high quality accounting and advisory work.
As a valued senior member of the team, you will engage directly with our Partners and Senior Partners in Business Advisory, as well as with our Workflow Manager to distribute and redirect work across multiple staff.
- Produce and review compliance documents, complex special purpose financial statements, IFRS RDR financial statements, tax returns and reconciliations
- Achieve budgeted chargeable hours, fee targets and profitability of the work for themselves and their team
- Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge to ensure compliance
- Manage, coordinate and delegate client work to team members
- Drive retention by empowering and nurturing team members to develop their capability and deliver exceptional performance
- Capacity to secure new clientele and further develop existing client accounts

You are someone with…..
- Achieved CA or CPA qualification or be working towards this
- Proven 6-7 years of accounting experience in a Public Practice
- Strong Cloud accounting product knowledge (i.e. Xero, MYOB, Excel)
- Strong commercial acumen paired with sound technical accounting and analytical skills
- Genuine desire to be an enthusiastic and active contributor to our growing team
- Ability to develop positive relationships with key stakeholders and clients
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise your workload
- Fantastic people skills, an outgoing personality, and a passion for accounting and business advisory services
