About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Accountant to contribute to the strategic direction of the Ahrens group and our associated entities. Based in our Kingsford office, the role will support various divisions with project and management accounting.
Key Responsibilities
- Project, Management and Financial accounting for various divisions.
- Make recommendations / improvements based on financial analysis and critical thinking.
- Preparation of reports and analysis of labour and equipment utilization and efficiency.
- Labour costing.
- WIP management and reporting.
- Inventory reporting including assistance with stocktakes.
- Provide insights and analysis related to operating performance.
- Full profit and loss review and reporting of variances.
- KPI reporting and calculations.
- Balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assist with month end reporting and provide results to key stakeholders.
Skills and Experience
- Proven accounting experience;
- Experience with large ERP systems;
- Proven ability to adapt to change and continuous improvement;
- Good time management and a sense of urgency;
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Suite – with advanced skills in Excel;
- A high level of organisation and the ability to balance multiple priorities;
- Well-developed communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills for liaising with Managers and external customers;
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills – with the ability to use initiative;
- Excellent attention to detail;
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Business or similar (desirable);
- Pronto ERP system experience (desirable).
