Eligibility: Open to EveryoneFirst, the introductions …The Lifetime Support Authority (LSA) delivers the Lifetime Support Scheme (LSS), which was established under the Motor Vehicle Accidents (Lifetime Support Scheme) Act 2013 (SA).The LSS funds necessary and reasonable treatment, care and support for people who sustain serious injuries in a motor vehicle accident on South Australian roads, regardless of fault.Serious injuries including brain and spinal cord, amputations, burns and blindness can require a lifetime of support to help people recover and maximise their independence in the community. The treatment, care and support services which are funded by the LSS directly relate to a participant’s injury.Once someone has been accepted as a LSS participant, they will receive the necessary and reasonable treatment, care and support required for their lifetime so they can live their best life. As we grow, so do our people.Now, let’s get to the details …The LSA is looking to fill multiple positions in our Service Planning team, in the roles of Service Planner and Senior Service Planner. The roles will be a combination of both Ongoing and Short Term contracts.In addition to filling several immediate vacancies, the LSA would also like to establish a pool of candidates to fill positions in our Service Planning team which may arise over the next 12 months.Service Planners and Senior Service Planners are the core of our business, working directly with participants to support their unique and changing needs through the assessment, coordination and monitoring of treatment, care, and support services.The LSS is a continually growing scheme and as participant numbers increase, so does our need for experienced case management professionals to support and coordinate the planning of participant services.These roles are a rewarding opportunity for individuals who are passionate about helping others live their best lives and making a positive difference to the journey of LSS participants. Scheme participants have sustained serious injuries and the LSA are looking for people who will work with them in a respectful and collaborative way, focusing on getting them back on track to live a meaningful and fulfilling life.We are seeking candidates with a deep understanding of acquired disabilities and how these can affect a person in more than just a physical way. Demonstrated ability to adapt your approach and communication style based on participants needs is crucial, as is the ability to apply analytical thinking and strong reasoning and judgement to inform decisions about appropriate treatment, care, and support. - Employment is subject to satisfactory Police Check/ DHS Working with Children Check.
- Some out of hours work may be required, including at times Public Holidays and the Christmas and New Year period.
- Travel to health and community facilities, participants’ homes, intrastate and interstate may be required.
- COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement under the Emergency Management (Healthcare Setting Workers Vaccination) (COVID-19) Directions 2021 to work in SA Health/health care setting.
