We are partnering with a prominent agriculture business, and we are currently seeking an industry experienced financial accountant to join their team.
Our client is committed to utilising regenerative agricultural practices, prime cattle country, and high-quality breeding genetics. Their strategic infrastructure development allows them to bring together a dynamic portfolio of land holdings.
About the role
As the Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in the finance team and will be responsible for the following but not limited to:
- Monthly management financial reports.
- Monthly cash flow reconciliations.
- Monthly reconciliations of all balance sheet items as directed.
- Preparation of monthly BAS’s.
- Preparation of the annual budget and other forecasts.
- Maintain asset registers.
- Invoicing of any revenue or expense recoveries
- Year-end financial reporting requirements as scheduled by the Finance Manager – Investments, such as reconciliation of various accounts, preparation of financials and liaising with the auditors.
- Backup for preparation of daily bank reconciliations.
- Backup for accounts payable processes for other entities.
- Any other ad hoc tasks as required by the Management team.
About you
- Professional accounting qualification
- 3-5 years’ experience within an Agribusiness.
- Full Australian working rights.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements
- Strong analytical skills
- Proficiency in accounting software
