THE ROLE
Join our supportive team and carry out a defined part of the overall accounting function.
- Prepare monthly consolidated group financial information including foreign currency translations and consolidation journals
- Assist with Board pack preparations and compliance reporting
- Prepare financial information to support the wider business with financial analytics
- Provide technical accounting support across the business, including the ESG reporting requirements
- Prepare consolidated financial statements for the ASX listing requirements
- Assess implications of changes to Accounting Standards and prepare technical explanation papers
- Collaborate with external auditors and collate information for audit requests
- Assist with the annual group budget process and consolidate Group budget financial information
- Support with the treasury function
- Assist with the preparation of the annual tax returns
- Assist with process improvement projects
- Prepare financial information to support with tender requests, when required
Other ad-hoc duties as requested by the Financial Controller, CFO and Senior Management Team.
ABOUT YOU
- Minimum of 5 years in relevant commercial accounting
- Experience in a project-based construction environment
- Bachelor of Business/Commerce - Accounting or equivalent
- Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent
- Strong level of computer skills, with a particular focus on Excel
- JD Edwards and Power BI experience advantageous
- Exceptional organisational, written and communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders
- Audit and tax compliance experiences is an advantage
- Police Clearance
