The Opportunity
We continue to experience significant growth and hence are on the hunt for a driven and proactive Senior Accountant to join our Visy Logistics finance team based in Clayton. We also have an office in Epping and are therefore flexible with your location.
This is a full-time permanent role where you will be responsible for supporting Visy Logistics capital and accounting functions as well as driving continuous improvement and finding smarter ways of doing “things”!
The Role
Reporting to the Divisional Financial Controller you will be managing the Capital investment process including business proposals, supporting plans, investment analysis, payback analysis and Monthly/Annual Post Investment Reviews.
Further to that your key areas of responsibility include:
- Assist with Mid Month Estimates and End of Month Accounting requirements which monitoring of full business systems with SAP
- Assist in Monthly and annual forecasting; financial and capital
- Maintaining Logistics asset master files including registration and service agreements
- Support the accounting function including: monthly reporting, business analysis, budget & forecasting
- Drive process improvements and profit optimisations
What we are looking for:
- Tertiary qualified with a CA or CPA qualification, or international equivalent
- Significant experience working in Financing/Accounting roles (within the Manufacturing or Logistics environment background highly advantageous)
- Technically savvy, your Excel skills are outstanding
- It would be advantageous if you know your way around SAP and had exposure to Hyperion
- You are a great communicator, enabling you to form strong relationships with stakeholders on all levels
