About the role:
Joining us as our new Senior Accountant, you will be leading a small and experienced team of accounting professionals, with your primary focus managing the Manufacturing finance business unit's day-to-day financial operations & success.
Some of your key functions will be:
- Leading, two AR AP professionals, and two accountants.
- Financial standards compliance
- Cash flow management.
- Audit
- Budget
- Debt management
- Financial strategy
- Leadership
You will be responsible for:
- Implementation and maintaining financial controls that drive compliance to achieve agreed financial metrics.
- Identifying and addressing any instances or risks of financial mismanagement and recommending/implementing risk mitigation strategies as appropriate.
- Overseeing general financial management processes and advising/recommending/implementing strategies for improved security, process, procedures, and/or management
- Preparing Annual Budget for Approval
- Overseeing financial processes and procedures that ensure compliance with key Financial outcomes and statutory/regulatory requirements.
- Identifying and addressing any instances of risk or non-compliance with Design Group Financial control measures
About you:
- Strong background in Management Accounting with Financial analytical abilities
- Cost accounting
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style
- A demonstrated commitment to high professional and ethical standards and a diverse workplace
- Excellent people skills, open to direction and a collaborative work style, and commitment to getting the job done
- Ability to look at situations from several points of view

- Knowledge and experience in the use of key finance tools
- Minimum 5 years of previous Experience in a CFO/ Treasury & Compliance or similar role
- CA or CPA essential
