Senior Accounts Assistant

Seeking an experienced Senior Accounts Assistant with practical knowledge of Xero to join the team in Malaga on a permanent basis.

Our client is a leading Telecommunications construction company which forms part of a group of companies. Based in Malaga an opportunity has arisen in a key role that handles the accounts payable function and payroll for several companies with no more than 70 employees group wide.

The Roles Purpose Is To

• Undertake the accounts payable function across several business units
• To ensure the efficient day-to-day operation of the office - 40 hour work week, preferably an early starter to meet the needs of the business
• To support project delivery across multiple business units
• To provide general administration duties for the group
• To ensure the office is run in a clean, professional and efficient manner.

Some of the key tasks you will be doing in the role:

• Accounts Payable function across multiple business units.
• Issuing Purchase Orders and following these up with Clients, the Project Team & Stores
• Assisting with the preparation of the payroll function for the group, no more than 50 employees
• Month end reconciliation of bank accounts, credit card statements and training expenditure
• Coordination of the fleet of vehicles including servicing & repairs.
• Answering telephone enquiries in relation to accounts

The successful candidate will possess the following experience:

• 3 to 5 years experience in a similar role
• Proficient using accounting software Xero
• Medium to advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite & Outlook
• Able to work autonomously when required
• A proactive approach to work
• Able to multi-task and prioritise workloads
