Senior Accounts Payable Officer

Job Description:Our client, a large and reputable community organisation based in West Perth, is seeking an experienced Senior Accounts Payable Officer to join their finance team on a 12-month contract. • Oversee and manage the end-to-end Accounts Payable process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices.
• Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Manage and mentor a small team of Accounts Payable Officers, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to resolve any Accounts Payable issues.
• Implement and maintain best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy in the Accounts Payable process.
• Assist with month-end closing activities and prepare reports as required.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant legislation.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Senior Accounts Payable Officer or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable processes and accounting principles.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
