Established in Brisbane over 30 years ago, our client is going through a period of transformation and growth and are therefore on the hunt for a Senior Accounts Payable Officer to join the team!
Key Responsibilities
The Senior Accounts Payable Officer will be responsible for the business' end to end payables function, as well as supporting an upcoming system implementation. Responsibilities will include:
- End to end Accounts Payable including processing and matching invoices, account reconciliations and payment runs;
- Own and maintain the Accounts Payable transactions, records and system;
- Maintain relationships and communication with suppliers, responsible for inbox and phone queries;
- Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, to ensure timely and compliant payments;
- Assist with month end, year end and audit processes;
- Ensure best practice for the Accounts Payable function, identifying opportunities for improvement;
- Involvement in system implementation duties, including user acceptable testing and data migration;
- Develop best practice processes and procedures relating to the payables function;
Your Qualifications and Experience
To be successful in this position, candidates will demonstrate:
- At least three years' experience working in an end to end Accounts Payable role;
- Experience using large ERP systems, Excel and Microsoft Office;
- Involvement in system implementation or upgrades, including testing and creating new system processes and policies;
- A customer centric attitude and eagerness to work as part of a collaborative team;
- Qualifications in or demonstrated knowledge of relevant accounting principles; and
- Eagerness to own the Accounts Payable function and be involved in project work.
