About the Role:
As part of this dynamic finance team and directly reporting to Finance Manager , you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our Accounts Payable process and reporting. Your responsibilities will include deploying effective processes to eliminate financial risks, as well as assisting accountants in closing the period. This position offers a unique opportunity for individuals with well-developed AP skills to further enhance their expertise in management accounting.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with vendors to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of invoice receipt.
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to address inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist in ledger reconciliations and workflows to support the Accounting Team.
- Contribute to month-end and year-end closing processes of Accounts Payable.
- Contribute to automation initiatives aimed at improving the AP process.
Requirements:
- Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience in handling a large volume of Accounts Payable.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience working in Accounts Payable or in an accounts department.
- Diploma in Accounting or above.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Strong ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Current federal police clearance (not more than 12 months old) and international police check if you have lived overseas in the last 10 years
- Evidence of Australian work rights (passport, birth certificate, etc)
