The business is seeking a proven Senior Accounts Payable & Receivable (AP & AR) officer to lead the stewardship of these functions. The business has experienced significant growth in recent years and is looking to build on its existing finance structures and processes to extract improvements in financial control and accuracy of financial statements.
The RoleYou will be expected to build and maintain relationships internally and externally (customers, suppliers, staff), and be responsible for the following key finance functions:
- End-to-end management of the AP & AR functions
- Running the Credit management process, including customer and supplier onboarding
- Contributing to month-end close activities, including accruals and reconciliation of AP & AR accounts
- Generating insightful Debtor and Creditor reports for management, providing commentary on ageing profile of customer and supplier account balances; collections risk; expected timing of cash inflows and outflows
- Driving improvements and efficiencies across systems, technology, and financial controls;
- Conducting all dealings ethically, protecting the rights of clients & suppliers, & respecting the interests of all parties. Our clients' trust & the security of data is paramount;
- Improving, innovating & learning within your role at CO, focusing on continual business improvement, with small incremental changes & the 'one-percenters' that result in positive long-term impacts to CO.
- The role is ideally suited to a finance officer with 5-7 years of practical experience in a similar role
- Great understanding of AP & AR management and inventory accounting; a high-level of attention to detail; and the ability to multi-task to deliver projects within deadlines;
- Strong excel skills and experience with a widely used ERP system (ideally SAP);
- Superb interpersonal and communication skills enable you to achieve desired outcomes with a wide group of stakeholders including peers, customers and suppliers.
- Proven ability to accurately & effectively convey information on time, prioritising communications that manage risk & increase commercial success;
- Outstanding problem-solving skills with demonstrated examples of how you’ve used your initiative to negotiate/achieve effective solutions with others;
- A resolute commitment to continual improvement & learning;
- Proficient in a range of computing applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneDrive.
