Senior Accounts Receivable Officer

Position description
This industry leading organisation is seeking an determined & pro-active Senior Accounts Receivable Officer to join the team. Reporting to the Accounts Receivable Manager the role will have a focus on assisting with the Collections of the business, as well as managing some escalations and more complex queries/circumstances.
The responsibilities

• Handling telephone account queries; both internal and external - high volume environments
• Following up on overdue payments with customers efficiently and politely
• Liaising with customers on a day to day basis via email/phone
• Account reconciliations
• Answering questions from the team about escalated issues.
• Weekly/Fortnightly & Monthly Reporting
• Assisting with SOX Compliance
• Managing escalations with customers in a calm and pleasant manner.
• Billing customers

The successful applicant

• A true collector, great at following up payments and unactioned actions, escalating point of contact if necessary
• Possess excellent written and communication skills
• Be a team player; able to liaise effectively with other existing team members to maximise productivity
• Strong problem solving skills, an ability to think outside the box.
• Demonstrated prior experience as an experienced AR or Senior AR/Team leader who will be able to take initiative and be the 2IC to the manager
• Able to multi-task & work under pressure.
