We're looking for an experienced Protocol and Events superstar to permanently join our team.
The Protocol and Events team provides advice on matters of protocol, state and national observances and conventions. The team delivers ceremonial and special events of state significance and international visits; manages the planning and implementation of various major events; and is responsible for the administration of signficant awards programs in Victoria.
As the Senior Adviser, Protocol and Events, you will provide high-level analysis and strategic advice on a broad range of protocol, visit and event related matters to the Premier, Secretary and senior officers, internal and external stakeholders. You will also will be responsible for project planning, staff oversight and delivery of events and visit programs to meet departmental and government objectives in a time-critical environment.
About you
As our ideal candidate, you will bring:
- Experience and demonstrated competence in high-level project management, planning and delivery of events and programs for a range of senior stakeholders, with varying levels of complexity and scale
- Ability to prepare complex briefs, letters, emails and reports using clear, concise and grammatically correct language and ensuring that appropriate style and formats are used
- Highly developed skills in planning and managing risks and ensures the use of honest, transparent and appropriate purchasing processes, including proficiency in managing contracts and complex project budgets
- Proven ability to develop strong, productive partnerships and engage key stakeholders
- Demonstrated experience with all aspects of domestic and international protocol
