The Role
An exciting opportunity for a safety-savvy project professional to develop and implement a broad range of health & Safety Programs and initiatives, to support and reduce risk across the diverse and dynamic membership of the RFS (staff and volunteers).
The Team
Our Safety team of 7 is based in Sydney Olympic Park at the RFS State Headquarters. Our team manages safety incidents, hazards and investigations, oversees corrective actions and compliance, prepares safety reports and analysis of trends, provides advice and guidance for health & safety concerns, and promotes a safety culture that is supported by effective systems and practices, compliant with WHS obligations.
Our Health and Safety Directorate also comprises of 3 other teams including Mental Health Services, Mental Health Strategy, and Health & Wellbeing. Our units work closely to deliver Health & Safety services to the RFS.
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience working in safety or risk management
- Excellent communication skills
- The ability to engage with all levels of the organisation
- Hold a relevant Degree or Diploma in WHS or Risk Management or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing and monitoring programs across large organisations.
