How will I help?Reporting to the Director,
Consumer & Business Customer Engagement and working closing with other Senior Managers and Managers, this
Senior Analyst role is portfolio and optimisation focused. Key responsibilities will be production of accurate, timely management reports with necessary insight to drive portfolio-based decision making plus building and maintain modelling to uncover key segmentation performance drivers to enhance financial outcomes.In addition, the role will cover ad-hoc analysis on the performance of the
Consumer & Business Customer Engagement businesses and continuous improvement aligned to the Westpac Group Finance Transformation & Enterprise Data Strategies
Some of your responsibilities will include:- Support the Finance team to meet the management reporting requirements of Group, Consumer and the Westpac, St George, BSA, and BOM Consumer & Small Business businesses.
- Partner with and build strong relationships with senior finance stakeholders to successfully quantify, deliver and track initiatives critical to business performance e.g. segmentation, banker productivity, return.
- Produce timely, accurate and insightful monthly management reports that clearly align consolidated financial performance results against targets and forecast incorporating key business drivers and highlighting risks and opportunities.
- Provide insight and advice (as required) on actual performance against plan & forecasts, investigate variances & provide insightful commentary on the same.
- Maintain models incorporating key segmentation performance drivers associated with projection of financial outcomes
- Provide ad-hoc analysis on the financial performance of the Westpac, St George, BSA, and BOM Consumer & Business businesses, understanding the relative performance to industry peers and the impacts of the changing commercial and legislative landscape.
- Prepare and implement your development plan as agreed with your people leader to expand your professional and personal capability and critical experiences.

What do I need?- Tertiary qualifications in appropriate discipline & professional qualifications desirable - CA, CPA, CFA or equivalent (or working towards)
- Demonstrated specialist analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to integrate into business and finance projects and be relied upon as a subject matter expert
- Financial modelling experience
- Working knowledge of accounting practices within the finance industry.
- Knowledge of the retail banking industry is desirable.
- Microsoft Tools (including Word, PowerPoint) and advanced Excel and modelling knowledge
- TM1 experience highly desirable
